How to install the Beta

before you start

delete or any older bettercampus beta builds + temporarily disable the bettercampus version you got from the chrome web store (having 2 extensions running at the same time will likely break your canvas).

steps

  1. open chrome

  2. go to chrome://extensions

  3. toggle OFF the live bettercampus extension

  4. download the latest beta zip from the #⁠📁｜download-beta channel in discord

  5. unzip it

  6. stay on chrome://extensions

  7. turn ON "developer mode" (top right)

  8. click "load unpacked"

  9. select the unzipped folder (you’ll know you’re loading the correct folder if you see a file called manifest.json)

  10. go to canvas

  11. hard refresh (cmd+shift+r / ctrl+shift+r)

You're now running the beta build

Note: you must keep the beta file folder in your downloads/desktop until you replace it with an updated file or live BetterCampus version from webstore
