PLEASE READ THIS AND VOTE UP

We need to be able to use the dark mode AND have the teatchers do highlighted things. I use dark mode and ANNYTIME that ANNY teatcher desides to highlight annything not blue, purple, or a dark yellow, it just showes as a REALLY faint white, no mader what it is in. Even in a photo. The problem is that the words allso go pure white. So ANNY time a teatcher highlights ANNYTHING thats not thoes three colors it just becomes a rectangle of light. To be able to see it i need to turn of and later back on my brightness. If WE COULD PLEASE fix that that would be AMAZEING!!! PLEASE!!!. Allso “/\ Delphinium” background is not afected by light mode, but the words inside sometimes are. This means that the words are tanis-white and the background is PURE BURNING WHITE. PLEASE FIX THESE. I WOULD PERSONALLY FIND YOU AND THANK YOU (Im just kidding, so thanks now (You are now guilt tripped into voteing this up)).

💡 New Features

I will not be posting anymore ideas until August (EXCEPT for THIS ONE), because it is my Summer VACATION!! ❤ 😽

So in canvas, (hopefully everyone knows) the what if grades pop up to see what happens if you change something. well what if there was a feature that would tell you what you have to do and get in order to get a passing grade. FOR EXAMPLE: Lets say you have a 70% in math. (Pretty bad right?!) well you go into the grades and scramble around trying to click the what if grades to see what you can do to change/bump your grade up if you work on something specific, [EXAMPLE within example] outcome 5 summative, you click the dash and change it from { - / 80 } into { 70 / 80 } then your grade pops up to a 78% . NOW THAT IS ALL TOO MUCH AM I RIGHT?!?! |I|I|I| SO: 🔽 THE SOLUTION 🔽 (😮 wow) The computer base thingamajig does all the work for ya! EXAMPLE OF SOLUTION: You have a 71% in English, but if you click grades and scroll down, the grades page is changed and looks EVEN BETTER, tells you what you need to do in order for you to get that 71% to at least an 80%. THE GRADE PAGE HELPER would be something like: IMPORTANT! in order to fix that 71% you must get a 73% or higher on the upcoming checkpoint, then you better study for that summative because you’ll need to get an 81% or higher as well. | That is if you want to get at least an 80% in English entirely.

Australian uni grading system

PLEASE The Australian 7-point grading system differs fundamentally from the American Grade Point Average (GPA) in its scale range, the value given to a passing mark, and how overall averages are calculated. Use resources like the OzTREKK GPA Conversion Chart or the GPA Calculator to visualize and compare transcript conversions directly. [1, 2, 3] The two systems compare in the following ways: 1. The Scale and Grade Values American GPA: Generally uses a \(4.0\) scale, where \(A = 4.0\), \(B = 3.0\), \(C = 2.0\), \(D = 1.0\), and \(F = 0.0\). The numbers represent an average of the points assigned to each letter grade. Australian 7-Point Scale: Uses a \(7.0\) maximum scale, where \(7\) is the highest grade (High Distinction). In this system, you are graded per course rather than awarded letter grades. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] 2. The Passing Threshold American GPA: A typical pass requires a \(C\) or \(C-\), which translates to a standard US GPA of \(1.7\) to \(2.0\). A student needs around \(60\%\) to \(70\%\) knowledge depending on the institution's curve. Australian 7-Point Scale: The minimum passing mark is 50%, which equates to exactly a \(4.0\) on the 7-point scale. Anything below a \(50\%\) (\(<4.0\)) is an automatic fail. [1, 2] 3. Grading Categories Australian grading is often tighter at the top: 7.0 (High Distinction): Usually \(85\% - 100\%\). 6.0 (Distinction): Usually \(75\% - 84\%\). 5.0 (Credit): Usually \(65\% - 74\%\). 4.0 (Pass): Usually \(50\% - 64\%\). Below 4.0 (Fail): Less than \(50\%\). [1] 4. Calculation Method and Curves American GPA: Many US universities use a weighted/unweighted scale for advanced classes (like AP or Honors), and grades are frequently "curved" based on class performance. Australian 7-Point Scale: The GPA is calculated by multiplying the grade value (0-7) by the credit point value of the course, and then dividing by the total credit points. It is a strict numerical average without a standard weighted system for different class difficulties. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] Conversion to US Standards When converting an Australian grade to an American standard, a popular baseline formula used by admissions offices is: \(\text{US\ GPA}=\left(\frac{\text{Australian\ GPA}}{7}\right)\times 4\) [1] For example, an Australian GPA of \(5.25\) equates to a \(3.0\) on the American \(4.0\) scale.
