Bolding, Italics, and Underlining bug

In the notes page, when I’m hitting command b, command i, and command u to turn on bolding, italics, and underlining, I lose my place where I was typing (I can type one character in the right spot and then the next character I write is in the beginning of the line). When the typing cursor is sent to the wrong spot, characters you type there don’t have the formatting type you selected

Also, hitting command b/i/u doesn’t lead to the respective button up top being highlighted
