Assignments not clearing

How bad is this?: Works but buggy

I'm not sure if this is a built in feature where the assignments won't clear if canvas hasn't received a grade, but my instructors this semester are being really weird about letting students see certain assignment results and the ones that are effected by that policy pop as overdue on the dashboard and will not clear.
